Building a Better Boonville, Indiana

Building a Better Boonville is a non-profit organization founded by civic-minded citizens of Boonville, Indiana. People who can see the potential that our city has and what it can be in the near future. A community that people- visit, raise a family and enjoy life!

We have recently added a Business Spotlight  page for new businesses. We are proud to announce two new companies- Stephanie's Seasonings- purchased by One Source Brands, LLC which has relocated the regional office in Boonville Indiana. Also Derr's Soda is back in town!

Where is Boonville, Indiana

Boonville is nestled in the historic Southern Indiana, a short drive from Evansville, Indiana and has easy access from Hwy 62 East (soon to be a completed 4-lane highway). It is a community rich it heritage and tradition.

Why live in Boonville?

Boonville, Indiana is a small town with a large town amenities, located in the Warrick County School system, which is the 12th largest corporation in Indiana. Our historic square features our beautiful courthouse and is frequently used on local television stations for background pictures. Our city has two parks and a county park (Scales Lake), all well-equipped. Also a hospital, museum, churches, local newspaper, post office, restaurants, youth sport leagues and a large assortment of retail shops which includes a Super Walmart and variety of retail stores. As mentioned earlier, a short drive to Evansville for employment or other business.

Most of all, a great city in which to raise a family or just visit! Come and see for yourself!

Boonville- Rich in History

Boonville is a city in Boone Township, which is in Warrick County. It was founded in 1818, by Ratliff Boone, an early settler and Indiana's second governor, who supported the city to become the county seat. Also the town where President Abraham Lincoln studied the law. The future president lived in Spencer County, Indiana and walked to Boonville to borrow books from attorney John Brackenridge and watch him argue cases in court. So the city's slogan "where Lincoln learned the law" was derived from.
